Top 5 Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps Performance in Kuwait Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, the performance of the leading carpooling and ridesharing apps in Kuwait showed diverse trends across downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Careem – rides, food & more experienced a fluctuating pattern in weekly downloads, starting at around 2.8K in early January and peaking at approximately 4K by the end of March. The number of weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly around 19K, with a notable increase to 21K towards the end of the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride showed a gradual decline in weekly downloads, beginning with 1.8K and dropping to about 1.6K by the end of March. However, the weekly active users remained robust, hovering around 35K, with a slight increase observed in the final weeks of the quarter.

Bolt: Request a Ride saw a decline in weekly downloads throughout the quarter, starting from 978 and decreasing to 758. The active user base also showed a downward trend from 6K, with a slight recovery towards the end of March.

inDrive. Save on city rides maintained relatively stable weekly downloads, averaging around 700, with a slight peak at 733 by the end of March. The number of active users showed a gradual decline from 5.4K to 4.8K over the quarter.

Grab: Taxi Ride, Food Delivery displayed a consistent download rate, starting at 514 and reaching 532 by the end of March. The active users increased from 16K to over 17K, demonstrating a positive trend in user engagement.
